Convenient location near historic sites and public transportation. Friendly and helpful staff, offering recommendations and assistance. Clean and well-maintained facilities.
Some issues with noise at night and uncomfortable beds. Slight distance from the main party district.

The hostel was a great value for money, offering clean rooms and spacious beds. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation. We especially enjoyed the organized events at the bar, like the Okonomiaki Party, which allowed us to meet new people and have a fun time. Plus, the showers and facilities were always kept clean and provided shampoo and body soap.
That the staff had difficulty communicating in English, which made it a bit challenging to get information or ask for assistance. we wished there was a common kitchen area where guests could cook their own food, as the options available in the cafe-bar were limited.

I had an incredible stay at a hostel in Kyoto recently. The location was perfect, right next to the Imperial Palace and the subway, making it easy to explore the city. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay, even helping me locate a lost wallet. The homemade breakfast with fresh bread was absolutely delicious. The hostel may not be a party hotspot, but for me, it was perfect. The only minor downside was the lack of locker in the room, but it didn't bother me much. I highly recommend this hostel for a memorable stay in Kyoto.

Felt like visiting family, no complaints whatsoever.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Kyoto and had an amazing experience. The hostel had modern decor and exceptionally clean facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The dorm rooms were spacious and each bunk had a private curtain and personal locker. The beds were larger than usual and super comfortable. It was easy to meet other travelers, whether in the dorms or at the front cafe. The location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the metro station. The common area was spacious and cozy, with a bar that added to the social atmosphere. The best part, though, was the breakfast - it had an impressive variety of options, including sausages, rice, bread, jam, tea, coffee, and even juices. I highly recommend this hostel to future travelers.
My stay at this hostel felt almost like being at home - I had no complaints at all.

We had an exceptional stay at Bird Hostel. The location was perfect, with a subway station just around the corner. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds were cozy, with USB plugs to charge our devices. The bathrooms were also clean and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. One particular instance that stood out was when I lost my wallet at a restaurant. The staff kindly called on my behalf to help me retrieve it, and I was incredibly grateful for their assistance. The hostel also served a delicious breakfast with a variety of options, not just the usual toast and boiled eggs. I would highly recommend Bird Hostel for its impeccable environment, great service, and convenient location.

The location of the hostel is great, as it is right next to the metro station. This makes it very convenient to travel around and visit all the main tourist areas in the city. Additionally, the hostel is close to many sightseeing spots, allowing guests to easily explore the city without spending too much time on transportation. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with shared toilets and showers that are well-maintained. The staff are friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay for guests. The breakfast provided is also good, with a variety of options like home-made bread, boiled eggs, sausages.
There is one aspect of the hostel that can be improved. The passcode lock system can be quite annoying as it beeps each time someone enters the hostel.
